Fall Refreshers: The Swedish Avalanche

Whether you are already looking for a little oasis in the midst of autumn, or just one more farewell to summer before diving into the holidays, Ryan McGrale's tiki inspired concoction, The Swedish Avalanche, was created to meet your summer-worthy, thirst-quenching needs.

Ryan McGrale, Beverage Director at Tavern Road in Boston, draws his mixology style from his respect for cocktail classics as well as experience gained at MyNy Bar in Sao Paulo, where he was exposed to the bright and fruity flavors of South America. As beverage director at Tavern Road, Ryan keeps a fresh perspective, highlighting locally sourced spirits, and surrounding himself with upcoming, creative talent.

“Summer time is about fresh ingredients. Bright, lively flavors. And, fun. The Swedish Avanlanche has the tiki-style influence in its creation. Bright, a touch tropical, and balanced with a nice bite of the base spirit. Beautiful to drink indoors, outdoors, or in a bamboo riddled tiki den.”

½ oz grenadine
7 dashes of decanter bitters
