The Washington Association of Wine Grape Growers announced dates for the 2011 Annual Meeting, Convention and Trade Show set for a week later than usual. Scheduled for February 8 through 11, the meeting will be held between the Three Rivers Convention Center and Toyota Center in Kennewick. New this year are three workshops plus a Social/Mixer all set for Tuesday, February 8. The workshops cover tasting room training, grower payment options from contracts to liens to PACA and professional development. The Annual Meeting, Convention and Trade Show is the premier educational opportunity for the Northwest grape and wine industry and features sessions and workshops for growers and wineries. The WAWGG annual meeting is one of the largest events of its kind and draws key industry players including wine grape growers, wineries, winemakers, marketers, product and service providers, educators and media from the United States, Canada and Europe. The trade show, set in a large arena used for hockey, concerts and football, includes over 160 booths. The Washington Association of Wine Grape Growers advocates for the Washington wine growing industry by educating, promoting, representing, and unifying the industry and encouraging a positive business environment for continued growth and production of world-class, Washington-grown wines.
